1. Buford 10-0 (Defeated Stephens County 56-0) Cue the questions about a weak region schedule. And another title run.
2. Griffin 10-0 (Defeated Eastside 48-28)
3. Marist 9-1 (Defeated Chamblee 47-22) *From here to #7 Woodward, in my humble opinion, all even.
4. Cartersville 9-1 (Defeated Pickens 27-2) *Offensive edge over the others.
5. Sandy Creek 9-1 (Defeated Fayette Co 23-8) *Championship experience edge over the others.
6. St Pius 8-2 (Defeated Redan 45-13) * The fundamentals edge over the others.
7. Woodward Academy 8-2 (Defeated Carrollton 10-0)*The athletic edge over the others.
8. Cairo 8-2 (Defeated Worth Co 27-20)
9. Mary Persons 8-2 (Lost to West Laurens 21-14) Funny. After five turnovers in their loss to WL they drop to a #2 seed. That will probably result in a #1 seed losing to MP in the second round of state.
10. Whitewater 7-3 (Defeated Troup 34-21) Back in the top 10.

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
