The 2016 NFHS Network Awards Show

One of the great aspects of my profession, and the place I hold in it right now, is my coverage of youth sports. I would guess 90% of my work is spent calling grade school, high school and college events.

Since 2010, I have worked freelance for PlayOn Sports, the production house behind the NFHS Network. Basically, the NFHS Network is the ESPN of high school broadcasting.

Besides major productions for major cable providers, the network’s online channel, at NFHSNetwork.com, provides a platform for thousands of high school broadcasts. These broadcasts are not always sports by the way; but that is a discussion for another day.

Most of the events one will see on the online channel are produced by high school students via the Student Broadcast Program, or SBP.

This year, the network awarded SBP’s across the country for their stellar work inside numerous categories. And, I was honored to host the event. So, via the link below, please enjoy the 2016 NFHS Network Awards Show!
