5A…Likely region standings/playoff scenario for each team is added.

  1. Northside, Warner Robins (9-0) The defending region and state champs are clutch. They face Houston Co this week; win, and they repeat the region title.
  2. Mays (9-0) The Raiders face Stephenson’s tough run game in a region cross-over championship game.
  3. Lanier (9-0) The Longhorns are region champs.
  4. Stockbridge (9-0) The Tigers face Northgate for the region title in one of only two matchups featuring two, 9-0 teams.
  5. Jones County (8-1) The Greyhounds face Warner Robins this week. They could finish anywhere from region champ to fourth.
  6. Houston County (8-1) The Bears face Northside, Warner Robins this week. They can finish anywhere from region champ to third.
  7. Allatoona (8-1) The Bucs are a win over Chapel Hill away from the region title.
  8. Stephenson (8-1) The Jags face Mays for the region belt.
  9. Coffee (8-1) All the Trojans need to do is win as well. If they lose, it’s a free for all.
  10. Northgate (9-0) The Vikings offense (32+ in eight of nine) can win a region with a victory over Stockbridge.

Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
