  2. Buford 6-1 (Defeated Monroe Area 51-0) The MP is anxious to see the Wolves at the 5A level.
  3. Woodward Academy 7-0 (Defeated Fayette County 37-8) This week brings the War Eagles biggest test of the season, and will decide the region title, versus Sandy Creek.
  4. Mary Persons 7-0 (Defeated Upson-Lee 30-14) The Bulldogs defense will face one of the top QB’s in the state this week when they take on Veterans and Logan Byrd.
  5. Bainbridge 8-0 (Defeated Dougherty 49-28)
  6. St Pius X 5-2 (Defeated Chamblee 31-7) The mission for the Golden Lions is to win out; if they do it will mean a region title.
  7. Jonesboro 7-1 (Defeated Riverdale 23-12) The Cardinals are closing in on their second region title ever; and the first since 1949.
  8. Sandy Creek 6-1 (Defeated Troup 49-7) The Patriots could be the favorite vs Woodward. They might sit on the passing game.
  9. Marist 6-2 (Defeated Grady 22-14)
  10. Thomson 6-1 (Defeated Liberty County 42-20) With a win this week, the Bulldogs will have as many W’s as the last two years combined.

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
