  1. Northside, Warner Robins 7-0 (Defeated Warner Robins 58-14) The Eagles have now won 15 of the last 20 contests between the arch rivals.
  2. Lanier 7-0 (Defeated Heritage, Conyers 42-0) The Longhorns defense has allowed less than 6 PPG.
  3. Mays 7-0 (Defeated Banneker 41-0) BJ Phillips could be the MVP for the Raiders in 2015.
  4. Jones County 6-1 (Defeated Houston County 24-17) Absolutely huge win; now the Hounds have the inside track to the number two seed in the state tourney…
  5. Houston County 6-1 (Lost to Jones County 24-17) …conversely, the loss will most likely send the Bears onto the road for the championships.
  6. Stockbridge 7-0 (Defeated Ola 48-27) The Tigers only double-digit win seasons in program history have all come in the last three years.
  7. Allatoona 7-1 (Defeated Hiram 41-13) Their chances at a region championship may come down to tie-breakers.
  8. Stephenson 6-1 (Defeated Druid Hills 37-0) The Jags aren’t all the way back, but they are better than they were.
  9. Coffee 7-1 (Defeated Brunswick 27-3) The Trojans close in on their first region title since 2002.
  10. Northgate 7-0 (Defeated Forest Park 68-0) Are they actually a top ten team? Not sure. They are undefeated and have outscored seven opponents 343-20. However, their opponents have a combined 17-35 record; and three are winless.

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
