4A…This class has suddenly become really deep…

  1. Cartersville 3-0 (Idle)
  2. Buford 3-1 (Defeated White Co 49-3) The Wolves move up to number two sooner than expected….
  3. Woodward Academy 4-0 (Defeated Clarkson 58-0)…because if WA running back Elijah Holyfield is out for an extended time, this will be a problem for the War Eagles.
  4. Mary Persons 4-0 (Defeated LaGrange 16-13) The Bulldogs pop in a last second FG to avoid the “upset.”
  5. Thomson 4-0 (Defeated Washington-Wilkes 49-6) Now this looked like Bulldogs football. They rush for seven touchdowns and nearly 350 yards.
  6. Marist 3-1 (Defeated Stone Mountain 58-13) Eight, eight, separate War Eagles scored touchdowns.
  7. Bainbridge 4-0 (Defeated Thomas County Central 34-16) Yes, the Bearcats have playmakers on offense, but their defense is holding opponents to 10.7 PPG.
  8. West Laurens 3-1 (Idle)
  9. Jonesboro 4-1 (Defeated Eastside-Covington 43-14) Really nice, bounce back win coming off of their first loss.
  10. Sandy Creek 3-1 (Idle)

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
