6A…Every team in Region 1 is very close to entering the rankings; just in time for region play…

  1. Colquitt County 5-0 (Defeated Pelham 65-21) Chase Parrish may have just had his signature game with six touchdown passes.
  2. Grayson 4-0 (Defeated Parkview 49-10) Parkview was flying so high coming in that a performance like this shows just how good the Rams are.
  3. Roswell 3-0 (Idle)
  4. McEachern 3-1 (Defeated Lovejoy 38-0) The Indians move past Archer this week. Say what you will, but their schedule has been tougher so far.
  5. Archer 2-1 (Idle)
  6. Mill Creek 4-0 (Defeated Duluth 41-0) Granted it’s Duluth, but according to the Gwinnett Daily Post, the Hawks defense allowed less than 50 yards of total offense.
  7. Lee County 4-0 (Defeated Terrell County 50-0) Their schedule leaves something to be Having said that, they have outscored four opponents 176-30.
  8. Walton 5-0 (Defeated Wheeler 22-19) Walton turns the ball over five times and recovers from an early double-digit deficit.
  9. Norcross 4-0 (Defeated Mountain View 30-7) This year’s version of the Blue Devil defense has been a turnover machine.
  10. Valdosta 4-1 (Defeated Veterans 56-7) Seth Shuman has proved so many people wrong. He fires four more touchdowns in the win over Veterans.

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
