  1. Marion County 2-0 (Defeated Dooly County 50-12) Finally, MC looked like the champs they can be.
  2. Charlton County 2-0 (Defeated Bacon Co 37-15) So many people have never heard of Andrew Lee (21 rush/ 207 yards vs BC).
  3. Clinch County 3-0 (Defeated Berrien 55-21) Welcome back Shannon Young: 211 yards and four scores on 14 carries versus Berrien.
  4. Irwin County 1-1-1 (Idle)
  5. Hawkinsville 2-1 (Defeated Taylor County 21-7) You know, the Red Devils lost a lot of talent; but they should still be playing better than this.
  6. Commerce 2-1 (Lost to Jefferson 34-10) No shame in losing a rivalry ballgame to a 3A state title contender.
  7. Emanuel County Institute 2-1 (Defeated Portal 52-7) The Bulldogs score on their first four possessions.
  8. Trion 3-0 (Defeated LaFayette 42-7) This team is sneaky good; outscoring a 4A and two 2A schools 101-20.
  9. Lincoln County 3-0 (Defeated Westside, Augusta 48-7) Not saying that they are back, but they are certainly better than in recent years.
  10. Turner County 3-0 (Defeated Randolph-Clay 31-6) Seeing the Rebs in the Top Ten is pretty cool.

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
