3A…The biggest game in the classification so far this season, Westminster vs Elbert County, was a classic. Mecole Hardeman scores at the gun and a championship caliber Wildcat team is 1-2…
- Calhoun 3-0 (Defeated Gordon Central 54-0) The Yellow Jackets were on such a roll in this one that people forget this game was called at the half.
- Blessed Trinity 3-0 (Defeated Creekview 33-14) Milton Shelton could be the most underrated running back in the metro area.
- Jefferson 4-0 (Defeated Commerce 34-10) Caleb Wood continues to be one of the top stories around the state. He adds 183 yards and three scores to his season total.
- Elbert County 3-0 (Defeated Westminster 44-38) Mecole Hardman, (216 rushing yards & 3 scores) carries his team to a win in perhaps the most exciting game around the state this year.
- Cedar Grove 2-1 (Defeated Miller Grove 35-7) The MP just received word that Saints DT Antwaun Jackson (8 TFL/ 2 Sacks/ FF/ FR/ TD Run) is this week’s Touchdown Club of Atlanta Lineman of the Week.
- Peach County 2-1 (Defeated SW Macon 35-12) Tyrique McGhee has been forced into the quarterback position. He is a great athlete, but that lack of depth can sometimes hurt a championship contender.
- Westside, Macon 3-0 (Defeated West Laurens 27-24) Steve Dolphus, the big-bodied wide out, is really undderrated.
- Central, Carrollton 3-0 (Defeated Hardaway 48-7) Well, Damarious Owensby (10 carries/ 232 yards/ 2 Touchdowns) is looking to join the list of top CC running backs.
- Westminster 1-2 (Lost to Elbert County 44-38) Back-to-back losses not enough to send the Wildcats out of the rankings. For some it is, but not The MP.
- Adairsville 3-0 (Defeated Ringgold 41-17) The Tigers rush for 450 yards against a team that knew exactly what they wanted to do.
