5A…This week, Region 2 takes center stage as #2 Northside WR hosts #4 Jones County and Warner Robins visits #1 Houston County

  1. Houston County 3-0 (Defeated Richmond Academy 41-13) This week comes their first real test: Warner Robins stout defense.
  2. Northside, Warner Robins 3-0 (Defeated Lakeside, Evans 30-7) Is the Eagle defense ready for the Jones County Greyhound offense this week?
  3. Creekside 4-0 (Defeated Druid Hills 49-6) Not sure why the Noles are getting no love from pollsters around the state.
  4. Jones County 3-0 (Defeated Greenbrier 70-7) If the Hounds can beat Northside, Warner Robins this week, they virtually guarantee a number two playoff seed.
  5. Stockbridge 3-0 (Defeated Morrow 49-6) QB Malachi Brown is becoming quite the duel-threat man.
  6. Mays 3-0 (Idle)
  7. Lanier 3-0 (Defeated Flowery Branch 3-0) The Longhorns have been back and forth so far in 2015.
  8. Ware County 3-0 (Defeated Coffee 23-14) The Gators continue to dominate on the ground, but…that passing game.
  9. Glynn Academy 2-1 (Idle) The Red Terrors meet Coffee this week in a matchup that will most likely decide second place in the region.
  10. Coffee 2-1 (Lost to Ware County 23-14) The Trojans could have easily won this ballgame. A second-half turnover was the difference.

Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
