6A…A big shakeup at the top actually produces a stronger top five…

  1. Colquitt County 4-0 (Defeated Enterprise, AL 51-14) With losses by other top teams, CC solidifies #1 spot. The Pack has defeated four quality opponents 175-43.
  2. Grayson 3-0 (Defeated Archer 26-24) Back and forth game where their defense and special teams took over in the second half.
  3. Roswell 3-0 (Defeated Lassiter 52-10) The addition of transfer Quantarious Neely is immeasurable. He goes for 300 yards and two scores through the air and over 100 and two scores on the ground.
  4. Archer 2-1 (Lost to Grayson 26-24) Early second half, the Tigers were a score away from putting this game away.
  5. McEachern 2-1 (Lost to Peachtree Ridge 9-6) The Indians held PR to around 100 yards of total offense, but two turnovers inside the PR red zone was the difference.
  6. Newton 4-0 (Defeated Westlake 27-7) This is the stretch where we find out about the Rams. They have Westlake, Lowndes, and Tucker consecutively.
  7. Mill Creek 3-0 (Idle)
  8. Lee County 3-0 (Idle)
  9. Walton 4-0 (Defeated Etowah 35-10) This was a huge win that tells the region they are a contender.
  10. Norcross 3-0 (Idle)

HM: Valdosta 3-1, Camden County 4-0, Tift County 4-0, North Gwinnett 2-1, Etowah 3-1, Peachtree Ridge 1-2

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
