3A…Regions 4 & 8 make up seven of the top ten in the rankings
- Calhoun 1-0 (Defeated Dalton 28-7) The Catamounts have a pretty good team. Given this was also a rivalry game; this is a nice win for the Jackets.
- Blessed Trinity 1-0 (Defeated St Pius X 17-6) The Titans just took their contention to another level.
- Westminster 1-0 (Defeated Lovett 26-23) The Wildcats built a 23-7 halftime lead and held on.
- Jefferson 2-0 (Defeated Winder-Barrow 32-17) The Dragons will be grinding out wins all year.
- Elbert County 1-0 (Defeated Cedar Shoals 40-14) Mecole Hardman, one of the top athletes in America, threw 2 TD’s, ran for one, and converted two- 2pt conversions.
- Hart County 1-0 (Defeated Clarke Central 24-21) Wow; this could be the most underrated victory of the early season. A great win for a 3A school over a potential region champion in 5A.
- Oconee County 1-0 (Defeated Oglethorpe County 49-6) Only one publication around the state votes for OC in the top ten. Being that they play in Region 8, they will have the chance to prove everyone wrong.
- Cedar Grove 1-1 (Lost to Hallandale, FL 34-26) The Saints couldn’t find their consistency in Week 2.
- Peach County 0-1 (Lost to Warner Robins 44-34) No shame in this loss for Peach. Warner Robins is better this year and of course, in 5A.
- Washington County 0-1 (Lost to Thomson 49-42) This loss hurts; next week they have Mary Persons and will be the underdog.
HM: Pierce County 1-0, Central (Carrollton) 1-0, Westside, Macon 1-0, West Hall 1-0, Dodge County 2-0
