The Mooneyham Poll hasn’t seen one inning of the Little League WS this year, GHSA FB 2A classification…

2A…Two championship contenders, GACS and Brooks County, do not fall too far because of losses to quality opponents…

  1. Benedictine 1-0 (Defeated GACS 47-44 in 2 OT) In the first OT, both teams scored touchdowns…and missed PAT’s!
  2. Fitzgerald 1-0 (Defeated Worth County 48-27) Expected, but a nice victory with a bunch of new kids.
  3. GACS 0-1 (Lost to Benedictine 47-44 in 2 OT) The Spartans scored at “zeros” in regulation and made a 2 point conversion to force OT.
  4. Vidalia 1-0 (Defeated Swainsboro 21-0) A shutout for the Indians without Nate McBride.
  5. Brooks County 0-1 (Lost to Ware County 42-7) The Trojans were hanging in with the 5A title contender at the half, down 14-7.
  6. Wesleyan 1-0 (Defeated Walker 56-0) A dominating performance by a surging team.
  7. Pace Academy 1-0 (Defeated Lovett 24-0) A notice serving type of win.
  8. Screven County 1-0 (Defeated St John’s, SC 57-6) The Gamecocks are a good solid top ten team.
  9. Lovett 0-1 (Lost to Pace Academy 24-0) The Lions return only three guys who played heavy minutes in 2014.
  10. Macon County (Idle)

HM: Lamar Co 0-1, Rabun Co 0-1, Union County, Dublin 1-0

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
