2A… The first, and last, MP every year provides us the Top 15 teams in each class…

  1. GACS…Davis Mills is the best QB in 2A.
  2. Brooks County…The Trojans return a team that can absolutely win the state title.
  3. Fitzgerald…Next man up in the backfield.
  4. Lamar Co…Defense + Juan Tucker = Top 5 ranking.
  5. Benedictine…Defense takes center stage with the exit of Powers and Stewart.
  6. Vidalia…JR LB Nate McBride is already a 4 star.
  7. Wesleyan…25 seniors could lead the Wolves to 7-0.
  8. Rabun County…Charlie Woerner, All-Everything.
  9. Lovett…Rebuild on the Banks?
  10. Screven County…The Gamecocks have a lot of players back from a 10-2 season.
  11. Macon Co…Returns 7 starters on offense but lost 9 on defense.
  12. Dublin…There are some worried folks tailgating outside the Shamrock Bowl.
  13. Thomasville…One of the greatest programs in state history has won double-digits only once in 20-years.
  14. Union County…Joe Mancuso tries to get the Panthers into the Top 10 poll.
  15. Bowdon…2015 will be the first season since 1987 without Dwight Hochstetler.

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
