1. Colquitt County 9-0 (Defeated Tift County 62-21) At this point, if the Pack doesn’t win the state title, I will be SHOCKED.
2. Grayson 9-1 (Defeated Brookwood 38-3) It looks like the region champion (between Grayson, Archer and Dacula) will come down to a coin flip…
3. McEachern 7-2 (Defeated Harrison 41-17)
4. North Gwinnett 7-2 (Defeated Meadowcreek 50-6) Despite all of the wild games and adversity this year, the Bulldogs are only a victory from the region title.
5. Valdosta 8-1 (Defeated Lowndes 13-10) The Wildcats meet Lee County this week for the #2 seed out of Region 1. The difference? #2 hosts Newton. #3 travels to Lovejoy.
6. Dacula 8-1 (Lost to Archer 24-10)
7. Tucker 7-2 (Defeated Lovejoy 27-12) The Tigers win the region title. Congrats and here is your reward: Lowndes or Tift Co in the opening round of state.
8. Milton 8-1 (Defeated Pope 35-7) Only a victory away from their first region title since…1952!
9. Peachtree Ridge 7-2 (Defeated Collins Hill 38-3) These guys are playing sneaky- championship caliber football.
10. Lee County 7-1 (Defeated Camden Co 40-23)

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
