5A…No change, aside from two newcomers

1. Ware County 8-0 (Defeated Statesboro 40-7) The same recipe all season: six different players score touchdowns.
2. Allatoona 9-0 (Defeated Paulding County 48-20) They have enough defense to win the state title. I may pick them to do just that.
3. Coffee 7-1 (Idle)
4. Kell 8-0 (North Atlanta 35-7) The sub-region comes down to next week as they face a really solid Sprayberry team playing their biggest game in twenty years.
5. Lanier 8-0 (Defeated Salem 42-35) Champs win, when trailing good team by fourteen at the half. Down 28-14, the Longhorns opened the second half on a 21-0 run.
6. Northside, Warner Robins 7-1 (Defeated Grovetown 49-14)
7. Creekside 7-2 (Defeated Banneker 38-6) This week Creekside meets SW DeKalb for the sub-region title and a berth in the region title game.
8. Stephenson 6-2 (Defeated MLK 33-7)
9. Houston County 7-1 (Defeated Greenbrier 42-13)
10. Harris Co 6-2 (Defeated Carver-Col 34-14) They never trailed and scored 27 consecutive points at one point.

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
