1. Marion County 7-0 (Defeated Hawkinsville 13-6) Barring a two game stumble, the Eagles victory over Hawkinsville wins their fourth region title in five years.
2. Irwin County 5-1-1 (Defeated Lanier Co 48-0)
3. Charlton County 6-1 (Defeated Wilcox Co 22-0)
4. Hawkinsville 7-1 (Lost to Marion Co 13-6) Despite the loss, the Red Devils are essentially guaranteed a top four seed in the tournament.
5. Claxton 6-1 (Defeated Sav Country Day 36-30) Perhaps the biggest sleeper in the classification.
6. Emanuel County Institute 6-1 (Defeated Treutlen 44-7) Are they the ECI of the past? No; but they are a team capable of a couple of playoff wins.
7. Commerce 5-2 (Defeated Providence Christ 49-10)
8. Lincoln County 5-2 (Defeated Hancock Central 33-6) The ratings have LC at #14. I could be overrating them; but #14 sure sounds too low.
9. Clinch County 4-3 (Defeated Turner Co 42-30)
10. Dooly County 4-3 (Lost to Schley Co 26-21)

HM: Greenville 4-3 (Defeated Taylor Co 26-21), Mt Zion, Carrollton 6-2 (Defeated Trion 21-0)

In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
