1. Buford 7-0 (Defeated Monroe Area 51-12)
2. Sandy Creek 7-0 (Defeated Troup 31-21) The Patriots trailed at the half for only the second time all season, but outscored Troup 21-8 in the second half.
3. Griffin 7-0 (Defeated Spalding 46-13)
4. Woodward Academy 6-1 (Defeated Fayette County 35-7)
5. Cartersville 6-1 (Defeated NW Whitfield 44-3) Boy, it seems like I mention Freshman QB Trevor Lawrence every week. This week: 17-33/ 400 yards/ 3 Td’s.
6. Cairo 6-1 (Defeated TCC 36-13) The Syrupmakers now have the inside track to the division, and overall region, championship.
7. Marist 7-1 (Defeated Grady 43-14) Griffin King was the offensive star on 680 The Fan’s Game of the Week. He tallied over a hundred rushing and three scores.
8. Mary Persons 6-1 (Defeated Upson-Lee 42-0) The Knights are a pretty good team; so MP’s margin of victory is eye-brow raising.
9. St Pius 5-2 (Defeated Chamblee 45-14)
10. Thomas County Central 5-2 (Lost to Cairo 36-13) Eight turnovers spell doom.

HM: Columbia 5-2 (Idle), Whitewater 4-3 (Lost to Carrollton 21-20 OT), Pickens 6-1 (Defeated LaFayette 69-34)

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
