1A Public…The class is so top heavy, as in the top twelve teams, that someone WILL finish the regular season in the top 10 with three losses

1. Marion County 7-0 (Defeated Brookstone 41-24) I don’t know what the ratings say, but I believe the Eagles play the toughest schedule in 1A. Next, #2 Hawkinsville.
2. Hawkinsville 7-0 (Defeated Dooly Co 28-13) If the Red Devils can force some turnovers, they can beat #1.
3. Irwin County 4-1-1 (Idle) With wins over Clinch and Charlton, the Indians are a lock for the region title.
4. Claxton 5-1 (Defeated Jenkins Co 35-21)
5. Charlton County 5-1 (Idle) These Indians meet Clinch on Halloween for the #2 seed out of the region and a home playoff game.
6. Dooly County 4-2 (Lost to Hawkinsville 28-13) The Bobcats have been giving up rushing yards this season. So, with Schley County coming to town, they better be ready.
7. Emanuel County Institute 5-1 (Defeated Johnson Co 32-27)
8. Lincoln County 4-2 (Defeated Warren Co 23-0)
9. Commerce 4-2 (Idle)
10. Clinch County 3-3 (Defeated Atkinson Co 46-13)

HM: Greenville 3-3 (Lost to Bowdon 54-32), Mt Zion, Carroll 5-2 (Defeated Christian Heritage 21-0)

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
