5A…The defending champs fall again…
1. Ware County 6-0 (Defeated Glynn Academy 42-21) The Gators held Glynn to less than 80-yards of TOTAL offense.
2. Allatoona 7-0 (Defeated New Manchester 28-7) They have now equaled their win total from last year.
3. Coffee 6-1 (Defeated S Effingham 35-28)
4. Carver, Columbus 5-1 (Defeated LaGrange 56-31) Hmm, is the defense a question mark?
5. Kell 6-0 (Idle)
6. Lanier 6-0 (Defeated Gainesville 26-23) Some thought I was crazy when I said in the preseason, “I think Lanier will win this region.”
7. Northside, Warner Robins 5-1 (Idle) Arch-rival matchup is next as they host Warner Robins.
8. Carver, ATL 6-1 (Defeated Creekside 32-29) One of the great wins in program history. And I mean no disrespect when I point out the following…
9. Creekside 5-2 (Lost to Carver, ATL 32-29)…the Seminoles let this game go. They had five turnovers and missed a FG late.
10. Stephenson 4-2 (Defeated Dunwoody 54-7) This is how the Jags should play most weeks.

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
