6A…The level of parity, after the #2 spot, is staggering.

1. Colquitt County 6-0 (Defeated Lowndes 45-27) Surprised by the offensive output by both teams. Again, QB Chase Parrish is the difference maker.
2. Grayson 6-0 (Defeated South Gwinnett 42-0) The Rams held the Comets to less than 100 yards of total offense.
3. Valdosta 6-0 (Defeated Camden County 13-10) Winnersville made the big play late when they needed it.
4. Langston Hughes 4-1 (Defeated Campbell 38-7)
5. Dacula 6-0 (Defeated Central Gwinnett 20-10) CJ Mayes is a beast on both sides of the ball.
6. McEachern 3-2 (Defeated Marietta 37-23)
7. Camden County 5-1 (Lost to Valdosta 13-10)
8. Lowndes 5-1 (Lost to Colquitt Co 45-27) Did not see the Vikings giving up 45 points.
9. Peachtree Ridge 5-1 (Defeated Duluth 49-6) Everyone talks about NG and Norcross from Region 7, but now the Ridge might be my favorite to win the region title.
10. Norcross 5-1 (Defeated North Gwinnett 17-10) The Blue Devils are Jekyll and Hyde: Lost by 26 to Milton and barely beat Mtn View; but beat Tucker and NG.

HM: North Gwinnett 4-2 (Lost to Norcross 17-10), Lovejoy 4-2 (Defeated Rockdale Co 43-21), Tucker 4-2 (Defeated newton 57-21) The Tigers are averaging 62 PPG in their last four games, Hillgrove 4-2 (Defeated North Cobb 28-7), Milton 4-1 (Defeated Etowah 37-12), North Cobb 4-2 (Lost to Hillgrove 28-7), Cherokee 5-1 (Defeated Woodstock 42-21), Alpharetta 4-1 (Idle),

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
