6A…And so it begins; Region 1 joins the party and starts region play.

1. Colquitt County 5-0 (Idle) DE’s/LB’s need only to remember their assignments to beat Lowndes. And if you’re a CB, do not get caught napping.
2. Camden County 5-0 (Idle) The Wildcats will not beat Valdosta on athleticism alone; not this year. They will need 24 points.
3. Grayson 5-0 (Defeated Berkmar 36-12)
4. Lowndes 5-0 (Idle) I think the Vikings, with their offense, need ten completions to beat Colquitt this week.
5. Valdosta 5-0 (Idle) The best Valdosta team in years must rely on fundamentals to beat Camden. I think they have enough talent.
6. North Gwinnett 4-1 (Defeated Mill Creek 51-41) The Bulldogs are now 3-1 versus teams that have been ranked at some point.
7. Langston Hughes 3-1 (Defeated Douglas Co 24-9) Only their offense can hold them back.
8. McEachern 2-2 (Idle) The Indians begin region play with Marietta and North Cobb.
9. North Cobb 4-1 (Defeated Harrison 49-27) A battle with Hillgrove is next.
10. Dacula 5-0 (Defeated Shiloh 28-6) The Falcons win the toss with P Ridge and get into the rankings. Someone has them at #6?

HM: Peachtree Ridge 4-1 (Defeated Mtn View 49-6), Tucker 3-2 (Defeated Clarkston 62-0) The Tigers have outscored their last 3 opponents 190-0!!, Lovejoy 3-2 (Lost to Mays 40-35) They are beginning to resemble Stephenson, Milton 3-1 (Defeated Lassiter 56-0), East Coweta 4-0 (Defeated Campbell 41-14), Norcross 4-1 (Defeated Duluth 38-0), Tift County 5-0 (Idle)

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
