2A…After Lovett at #5, literally, there are 12 teams that are pretty even. I’ve never seen this kind of parity in the back of the classification’s top 10.

1. Greater Atlanta Christian 4-0 (Defeated Hapeville Charter 41-0) Future Dawgs or Aubbie Tiger player Darius Slayton returns an INT 100+ yards for a TD.
2. Fitzgerald 4-0 (Defeated Macon County 41-34) Really solid, top 10 win.
3. Benedictine 2-1 (Defeated Bacon County 47-0)
4. Vidalia 4-0 (Defeated McIntosh County Academy 43-0) The Indians have outscored opponents 157-23.
5. Lovett 3-2 (Defeated BEST Academy 42-28) They are still allowing a ton of yards on defense.
6. Brooks County 2-2 (Defeated Perry 22-3) Hurt by graduation, lost their best player, still very talented. How soon can they put it together?
7. Washington-Wilkes 3-1 (Defeated Thomson 21-18)
8. Lamar County 2-1-1 (Defeated Ola 41-27)
9. Model 4-0 (Defeated Bremen 29-12)
10. Darlington 3-1 (Defeated Bowdon 24-19) Last week, my copy and paste failed me; I had Darlington in 1A. So, the Cats should be in the MP for the 2nd straight week. My apologies. And I always proofread!

HM: BEST Academy 2-2 (Lost to Lovett 42-28) Deshawn Waller: the player you MUST know more about. He notched 260+ rushing and three scores versus Lovett., Macon County 2-2 (Lost to Fitzgerald 41-34), Dublin 2-2 (Lost to Bleckley County 28-21), Rabun County 3-2 (Defeated Riverside Military Acad 24-3), Screven County 4-0 (Defeated Windsor Forest 36-8), Wesleyan 3-1 (Defeated KIPP 24-0), Jefferson Co 2-2 (Defeated Glenn Hills 53-10)

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
