1. Colquitt Co 3-0 (Defeated Crisp Co 55-0) Only one negative so far; what is going on with All-State DL/LB Quintin Hampton?
2. Lovejoy 2-0 (Defeated Dutchtown 41-14)
3. Camden Co 3-0 (Defeated Glynn Academy 46-17) The answer is October 3rd vs Valdosta. The question? When does region play begin.
4. Grayson 2-0 (Defeated Langston Hughes 26-16) Rams rank over NG Bulldogs because of defense; perhaps the best in 6A.
5. North Gwinnett 2-1 (Defeated Hillgrove 28-21) Beat McEachern and Hillgrove. And had a 16 point, second half lead vs N Cobb.
6. Langston Hughes 2-1 (Lost to Grayson 26-16) They must, MUST, find offensive consistency.
7. Valdosta 3-0 (Defeated Swainsboro 21-0) Have outscored Brookwood, TCC and Swains 80-10.
8. Lowndes 3-0 (Defeated Drew 50-14) The big four from region 1 all make the Mooneyham Poll.
9. North Cobb 2-1 (Defeated Cartersville 27-26)
10. Milton 2-0 (Defeated Norcross 26-0) Eagles barely rank ahead of Peachtree Ridge. Milton beats Alpha/Norcross; Ridge beats Archer/Parkview. I enjoy splitting hairs.

Chris Mooneyham is a twenty-year broadcast veteran employed or freelancing for multiple companies across America. Currently he is a co-host, play-by-play person and guest anchor for Atlanta’s sports leader, The Fan 680AM/ 93.7FM; and its sister stations on The Sports X. In the Fall, Chris serves as the Sideline Reporter for Kennesaw State University football. He also works as studio host, play-by-play announcer and content producer for The Fan’s coverage of Georgia High School football. Come the Wintertime, the focus shifts to the National Lacrosse League 2017 World Champions, the Georgia Swarm (play-by-play). When Spring rolls around, the Atlanta native delivers the play-by-play for the Emory University baseball team, a two-time national finalist. All throughout the year, Mooneyham is a lead play-by-play person for the NFHS Network’s high school sports coverage and over the last decade was honored to call state championships in nearly every sport. A Kennesaw State graduate, Chris holds a Communication degree in Media Studies and a Minor degree in Film Studies. He is also a two-time graduate of broadcasting school (Connecticut School of Broadcasting-1998/ Atlanta Broadcast Institute-2008).
