One of the benefits of being a member of the Touchdown Club of Atlanta is the VIP treatment. Today, I was very fortunate to take part in an early viewing of the newly relocated College Football Hall of Fame. Previously located in South Bend, Indiana, the “hall” now calls Atlanta home.
This version of a history museum is nothing like the dank, boring, “only an expert could appreciate this” type of place you are accustomed to seeing. Much of the experience is interactive. There is the opportunity to call famous plays from history or to use a camera for a 360 degree viewing experience inside of a college football stadium. In a designated room specifically for player biographies, fans can move and shift touch screen panels with multiple pages of personal info and stats on thousands of players.
For fans who want to work up a sweat, just make your way to the field turf play area to kick field goals, toss the ball with someone, or test your throwing accuracy.
The College Football Hall of Fame will be open to all visitors with a grand opening celebration of Saturday, August 23rd. For those wanting a sneak peek, pics are below:
